Transitioned from bachelor pad to a contemporary living space for two. The design of this interior is the product of four years of scheming with a diva of high expectations. It became something compositional and pure while maintaining a certain coziness.

This client collected every piece of this Richard Serra series and had them scattered among the house. Instead, I brought them together in this entryway, serving as an excellent example of a client’s prized possessions working deliciously with the new interior.

The Little Things
The functional and stylish chest is an 18th century Swedish design, the lamp is a curation of the Cornelius Vanderbilt estate and the seat is a French leather campaign chair. The brown and black color palette set against the bright natural light of the windows creates a pleasant contrast.
